EGYPT HAS THE HIGHEST FISH FARMING PRODUCTION IN AFRICA

Egypt was ranked as having the highest fish farming production rate in Africa, making it the eighth highest in the world! Statistics are showing that Egypt produced about 1.8 million tons over last year, putting it the eighth in the world! In addition, there’s a construction of the biggest fish farm in the Middle East in the coastal road in the Berket Ghalioun area in Kafr El Sheikh.

With the plans of Egypt developing aquaculture as a whole, we will see a marine farm generating 3,000 tons of fish, shrimp farm producing about 2,000 tons of shrimp! The fish farm will cover  450-meters, and is set out to be made up of 17-acre fish and shrimp incubator. That means it will be able to accommodate 20 million fish and two billion shrimps. Impressive!
