NEW EMERGENCY HOTLINE LETS GIZA RESIDENTS REPORT ILLEGAL DISPOSAL OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS

Illegal dumping of construction debris is common across Egypt and contributes endlessly to the pile up of waste around Cairo’s streets and open spaces.

Ahmed Rashed, the governor of Giza, however has announced the upcoming launch of a new hotline that will allow citizens to report the illegal practice. Which is a positive contribution to eliminate waste across Egypt and Cairo’s streets. According to Masrawy, any incidents of randomly disposed debris will be dealt with by a special clean-up team.

But this is the second stage of the move that Rashed hopes will eliminate the practice. He has also announced that the issue of building permits in Giza will strictly be conditional on presenting a receipt from an authorized disposal site confirming that a booking has been made to dispose the debris.
